Dune Burger

We haven't been to Dune Burger since before the pandemic and were able to get by there during this year's vacation. The food is as good as it has always been and the service was excellent. We had an 87 order, the food was prepared correctly and the service was so good I left her a 20 tip.

This place has been around for years and it’s because they sling the best burgers on the beach! It’s a must eat when in the OBX. This isn’t a fine dining establishment, so if you are one of those who want to be all prim and proper like some of the people in the reviews below, you will prob want to skip it, but know you are missing out since eating this burger on the beach just hits different. If you know, you know!

Despite staying in this area before, we had never stopped at Dune Burger until this year. We were looking for a quick and cheap lunch option for the kids, and we absolutely found it. We loved the food and especially the shakes. They hit the spot on a hot summer day. Burgers and dogs are definitely a step up from normal fast food fare, and prices are very reasonable.

This place is a nice surprise. After being frustrated with other places asking me how I want my burger, Dune Burger, just offers well-done hamburgers. That is the way an authentic burger should be!

What a great little burger spot in Nags Head! Reading some of the reviews, we were a little apprehensive, but it was recommended to us by a local so we had to try it out. Took barely 10 minutes to get our food, even with people in front of us already waiting for theirs. Burgers, BBQ sandwich, and fries were all awesome and more than enough. Definitely recommend going, they close at 3 pm so make sure you go for lunch!

Updating from one star to five! Service and food were much better second time around. Good choice for fast casual dining. Hot dog was juicy but the burger was a little dry. Overall it was great for the price point.
